This strength class is geared towards improving balance, core strength and overall agility. We will use bands, weights and sliders, aka torture towels :-) . It will be a slower-paced class but don't worry, your muscles will feel this workout the next day!

Jenny’s Strength-Zero class occurs in the perfect gym setting. It’s well stocked with exercise equipment that keeps one both challenged and never bored. She tailors each class to keep you moving quickly through exercises that work different muscles. The hour flies by. But oh do you feel you got a great workout. Fun plus good- that’s this class in a nutshell.

TRX is one of the best strength classes I have done. Jenny puts together great combinations to give a full body workout that leaves your muscles feeling worked. TRX will build strength without bulk. I love it!

I love the cardio/strength classes,  they are never the same and push me to new levels every class!  I also love having the small class sizes which make you feel like you have a Personal Trainer motivating you through each exercise with the extra attention on form to avoid injury, adaptations to be successful and maximize my performance. You may think you can’t but with Jenny, you can!

also known as "jenny at the shop!"

I have a shop in my backyard! I have purposed the 3rd floor as my own 800 ft² private boutique studio designed to help people reach their goals and have fun while getting exercise. My mission is to positively impact others with my outgoing and enthusiastic personality by being real and vulnerable. I want to inspire people to be the best version of themselves both physically and mentally. 

 

Growing up I was fearless. I think a lot of us can relate to that. I was a complete daddy’s girl as I followed him around picking up on small skills like using a nail gun to drive nails into shingles or backing up a stick shift truck and trailer while using just the mirrors. As I grew, those tough parts of me stuck around. I rode motorcycles, snowmobiles and three wheelers. It wasn’t until high school that I began to cheer and with that came the awareness of my appearance. Although I never had to watch my weight in high school, soon after I graduated it quickly caught up to me that I could no longer eat french fries for lunch everyday. I distinctly remember putting on clothes and realizing that they no longer fit like they used to. Jane Fonda and I became fast friends as I worked out in the living room of my parents house doing sit ups and step exercises and began to really watch what I was eating. I dropped 25lbs just in time to meet my husband, who took me out for pizza on our first date and it was the first taste of grease in over 9 months. Luckily, he was a pretty active person and together we found a group of friends that enjoyed working out together. Our ride together has been full of ups and downs but one thing has always remained constant. The motivation I had to move my body that made me feel connected to my best self has gotten me through the last 27 years.   I could share story after story about how my weight has fluctuated over the years but I think simply saying I gained over 50 lbs every single pregnancy with my three incredible kids says enough. Each one was met with complete defeat as I had worked so hard to get the weight off after each one. I remember on my oldest’s first birthday I was finally able to wear an outfit I hadn't been able to fit in and then I got pregnant again two weeks later and as you can imagine, the cycle continued.

If you are reading this and feel your heart beginning to open up to the idea of choosing yourself, I am here for you and cannot wait to work with you to meet your goals. 

 

If you need additional encouragement, maybe this story will help. After being a stay-at-home mom for ten years , one of the few places I felt alive was when I was working out at a gym in the Valley. The sense of camaraderie was a power source for me. They provided positive reinforcement even if it was just commending me for showing up. After one of the classes a stranger approached me and said “you were amazing in class, you should be an instructor.” Believe it or not, that had never occurred to me. After that miracle moment a gear inside of me switched on and I began to believe I could. Although I never saw her again, her belief in me is why I took a step toward being a Fitness Instructor and part of how I am here today at the Shop. Since then I have been hard at work staying certified, learning from amazing role models at PT Associates, and now I am ready to lead you to a stronger, happier and more fulfilled you.
